A pretty Ink blue Kotpad with offwhite temple border and a beautifully woven pallu. Looks best when combined with "Chandra", "Shweta", or "Swetambara".
Kotpad Handloom is a vegetable-dyed fabric woven by the tribal weavers of the Mirgan community of Kotpad village in Koraput district, Odisha. All the dyes used are organic for the drapes and textiles. It takes approximately 15 to 30 days for processing the color and dyeing threads into different colors. The main colors extracted are black and maroon. But these days we see some variation in colours and you cant but fall in love with them. These textiles are very easy to care for and we usually advice hand wash with mild detergent but owing to certain precautions not followed by some customers we have started advising dry cleaning. These fabrics in fact have a unique shine once they are carefully washed in water.
