Lime green with a pink and green Ganga Jamuna temple border makes this saree vibrant, unique and elegant. Small fish motifs in green and pink are woven all over the saree and the beautiful colourful double palla makes this a very rich and lovely combination.
Berhampur Phoda Kumbha has a unique pattern of weaving, particularly the contrasting contemporary temple borders. It was introduced at Berhampur town in the 14th century AD by the Mahuri Kings. Berhampur is hence called "The Silk City of Odisha". Berhampur Patta is unique for its thick silk, which has a special texture. This priceless treasure carries a 200 years tradition in its weaving pattern. Owing to its uniqueness, texture and being an exquisite weave, it has been GI tagged. The colourful temple borders, double pallu with peacock, swan and fish motifs on this exquisite texture is a masterpiece like most other weaves from Odisha. In our collection we have tried to bring some unique colours and designs that appeal to the connoisseurs of this weave.
