Blackish Brown Kotpad saree with a slightly coarse texture falls beautifully and the contrasting red border with pretty extra weft on the entire pallu length in off-white and red makes for a classy, elegant and pretty drape. Looks best when combined with "Dyuti- Red", "Shakuntala-Red", "Satya" blouse. Paired here with our "Shakuntala-Red" Blouse.
Kotpad Handloom is a vegetable-dyed fabric woven by the tribal weavers of the Mirgan community of Kotpad village in Koraput district, Odisha. All the dyes used for the drapes and textiles are organic . It takes approximately 15 to 30 days for processing the colour and dyeing threads into different colors. The main colors extracted are black and maroon but these days we see some variation in colours and you cannot but fall in love with them.
These textiles are very easy to care for and we usually advice hand wash with mild detergent. Owing to certain precautions not followed by some customers we have started advising dry cleaning. These fabrics in fact have a unique shine once they are carefully washed in water.
